Dry and overcast here. A pity that the front is due to arrive in the middle of the day when temps are generally warmest. -1.9c here currently but rising steadily, will be above freezing by the time the precip arrives I think, just hoping dewpoint will be OK.

The front looks more or less on schedule... so should be stalling any time now LOL!!!

I'll stick my neck out and say well into this evening is possible!

I knew the snow we already had and wasn't melting was waiting around for more - and here it is!

Old wives tale Andy - but one I have been quooting to my daughters! It looks to m as though the mild air is making quick progress and we will be lucky to retain any snow south of the heads of valley after 3 - 4 pm?

dusting on the roads outside - hard to believe the warmer air is heading our way - it barely got above 2 degrees for the last two days - still -1.2 degrees outside and dew points getting to -8.5 overnight - how long is the milder conditions progged to last or is there more hope later in the week?

After today's snowy blip, I've noticed that the temperatures forecast by the meto next week are lower than those forecast yesterday which ties in with what has been in said in here and in the model thread for a few days now.

Also seems like there'll be a fair bit of PPN about.

To be honest the met forecast for us is rubbish, saying nothing till 3pm and then just sleet. Its already snowing lightly with a fine powdering starting to settle. The accuweather forecast on my phone was more accurate with snow starting from 8/9 am...

Disappointing - latest weather tweets show the mild air making rapid progress inland already - looks like any snow guys will be transient..... rain will be in a lot of places just after midday and we will be lucky to see any snow in Wales after 3pm - gutting.

-1.0C here with the odd very small flake every now and then, i have a feeling it will be rain for most of the time though once it reaches these parts by what some are saying with the rapid progress of the mild air!

It was always supposed to be transient at best for most of Wales, excepting the high ground further east, where it will lie.
