Still snowing in the Glastonbury

Took a trip up the mendips and the roads are covered in places and very difficult to navigate in my car !

Snows moderate but sticking well.

Im impressed glasto still has snow it tends to be quite unlucky in its position and lack of any elevation.

I shall be driving home in an hour so I shall be driving few a range of elevations before getting back so shall be interesting.

Heavy snow settling here - in North Wootton at the moment. About 1-2cm lying.

Snow is becoming heavier but the flakes are huge. Evidence is there of the dp rising. It's 0.6c steady temp but -0.5dp and rising still....

Sleety wet snow here in Weston now, little patches of snow on the ground in this part of the town, nothing more, much more up on the mendips where I just went for a spin, literally on some of the side roads that have snow on them ;-)

All rain here down by the Devon border. As expected - 40 - 50 miles too far south and west. However what is interesting is that the surface temperatures are only 1.6 degrees. I have big hopes for the coming week: if surface cold can hang on and the east wind bring back cold uppers we could do well out of events on the horizon mid week.

Here in North somerset so much better than forecast. 4 hours of snow so far & good covering. Temperature peaked at + 1.5 at 2 pm but now slowly falling. Looking at the radar the front is now very slow moving so this could go on a while. Ian

Snow for almost 3 hours now, and got 1-2cm. Probably exactly spot on with the NAE.

i went up through wells to priddy and down to cheddar and then got stuck and how to turn around due to my abs brakes !
