BT we only need to wait for that cold front to come charging through, id imagine we'll get the negative temp and the dp where its at now..am not really concerned..but the strange this is why is it raining at -1C and low dp?...maybe their reading is way off..just a thought! coz i cant see why it would be rain when it should be snow

To be fair the NMM did suggest freezing rain for places close to the coast but not quite on the coast. Very messy set-up, snow, sleet and Freezing rain likely for some, pretty cool actually!

I'll have to look into it, not sure!

I posted on the previous page a tweet from Matt Hugo saying freezing was was likely to precede any snow, at least in the NW, so don't start crying!

Coming down a bit heavier now, but it's rain, not freezing rain. Mixed with 80% grauple.

Im just looking at things to fall back on should this all go belly up with freezing rain, the 6z GFS is a stonker, with a better, more favourably orientated scandi block ridging all the way across to iceland, and its in the semi-reliable as well (144ish), could be an 80's spectacular.

Just been out again and the rain is slowly freezing on the ground and surfaces

Bone dry and still only -1c in South Cheshire. Will it be snow or rain when it reaches here??
