Looks like winter is paying us back for missing out last year in the "dry slot".We are on the 2nd snow event of the winter and we are slap bang in the middle again :-)

Enjoy the snow,we all deserve it!

Heaviest snow so far currently falling. I would love this intensity to last at least 30mins.

Looks like the ppn in the North Sea, and the Wash is breaking up fast - is this front weakening now?

Seems to be thawing a bit on the car now but the trees look great. Flakes are small and are piling up on the branches

Tricky to say. Looks like our precip is coming just to the W of the Wash. Have to be honest im not sure what will happen to the band out in the N Sea. What I do know is very slowly colder air is flooding in from the E.

Personally im that happy with how this has turned out anymore will be a bonus.

I would be surprised at any thawing. The temps here continue to drop with Peterborough centre being -1C and outside the city -2C. All the while this snow is falling we have colder air moving in from the continent.

Trouble is my 6-15 day forecasts would always consist of E,lys.

I have a very good idea what has happened today although I really cannot understand how the Met O missed this. Im going to explain once my snow has stopped falling. :)

Just add this but below is my snow map which I posted 2 days ago!

Been snowing in King's Lynn for the last three hours. Very unexpected and a nice covering topping up what was left of Saturdays snow. As TEITS said we've had more snow this evening than the whole of December 2010!

Like you I'm very happy with tonights offering, it's turned out very well for us here after last nights forcasts. Maybe we will see some shower activity overnight from the Wash, although down here in the Huntindon area the ppn is gone by the time it gets to us.
