Definitely got my 2cm now, possibly a little more. Temperature well below freezing and therefore no melt. It's still coming down and looking at the radar there is a possibility of another 1cm or so still to come. This is now better than Saturday and better than I had hoped for. There will be very little melt tomorrow and the chance of a very cold night to follow.

How strange. Only 2 miles or so diff and temp also 1.1 here, but have just trudged out in my flip-flops to check cars and definitely not melting. Also pavement on my side (southerly) side of road is covered. Roads very wet though.

Feet freezing now, so turning in and hoping that nice purple patch heading for Bristol somehow comes my way overnight.

3 hrs heavy snow slowed up now coming down heavy again amazing night

about 3.5 inches

Still light to mod snow, temp steady at 0.6, perhaps 1/2 cm, but roads/pavements are clear fortunately.

might just be hitting the 1 inch mark here

thought the end was in sight but it just keeps intensifying just to the north of here.

don`t think i will reach the 2 inchs we had last saturday but you never know.

looking like a heafty shower heading accross norfolk/ from the wash area.

it will be nice to look out the window in the morning

A heavier band is just approaching you now, so look out. Its looking likely you'll have light snow for the rest of the night and just a small top up. Freezing and Ice is the next major concern and will be a tricky morning.

For those around my area, have your wind speeds increased? If so, what directions are you reporting?

I've got wind speeds of 7mph from the S then SW then SE and E.

Yes wind picking up here was ESE, then SE, then SW now SE again lol. It's about 15 mph and temperature is starting to rise again.

Yeah, I think this is due to local terrain and areas ect. After around 3am we should see a more established Easterly, if everything goes to plan... (Which everything hasn't!) My temperature has just decreased by 0.7c down to -0.5c... Now I shall await a few more updates before I confirm that.

Just had a quick look in the SE thread and amazed at how far this snow has stretched. Brighton is picking up on some Heavy snow as we speak. Was not forecast by the Meto till around 9pm.

Shall report back with temps soon.

Temp -0.5c, DP -3.2c, Wind: Variable, E/SE 9mph
