This has been sat just north of me for the last 20 minutes.. The wind has just swung round a bit, and it should come over the house.

thunder and lightning smile.png wooop

thunder lightning and hailtstones ace

Did you get similar yesterday?

It seems that mid afternoon for 2 days in a row has seen storms explode over E/SE Wiltshire and Amesbury has probably been battered

both days!

Meanwhile in the W of the county on Tuesday we had 1 short hail shower, yesterday a few brief rain showers and today just a few drops

of rain at lunchtime! As a result plenty of warm sunshine and nearing 16c!!

There is another cell to the NW that I'm watching for later but it'll either decay or follow a similar path to those already on the go!

All is quiet here now, but I really like the look of the showers/storms that have just gone through Skipton area.

The area of ppn seems to be increasing in intensity as it makes its way south east, with a few sferics in there too.

Feeling quite positive about this now, excitement levels are rising!

And, it appears to have lifted, so nothing coming from it. :(

Any more for any more? That cell has just reached here but no thunder - just heavy rain.

Please don't tell me that's it - that would be typical.

wouldn't fancy being on the M25 junction 15-8 at the moment the bright echos are pretty much following hugging the M25!

That's what I thought, seems to be forming an MCS... or technically isit??

Had one clap of thunder about 10-15 mins ago and torrential rain with bits of hail- it's moving on now. I'm keeping my eye on the developments south of Hereford. I love how you can follow the 'trail' back to a single point in Snowdonia on the radar! :)

Yeah I thought that, but Nick have you not seen the stuff to the north west of London heading this way?? Might erupt or even do better than the multiple cells to the south west.

Shortly going to experience a moderate to light shower and that will be all that has come out of this convective spell of weather for me aha. Already looking forward to the next spell, hopefully I'm a bit more lucky than I have this week. Spanish plume anyone?

Well that was a good little thundery shower! hail upto the size of marbles, looks like there's been a sprinkling of snow now. Thunder and lightning about every minute or so, but now the sun is back out, I love this weather! :D

Can anyone please shed some light on if East Anglia are going to get hit later? Some good convective activity with some rain showers but that's it.
