I would pop out, but am waiting for someone to arrive that should have been here 20 minutes ago. Grrrrrrrolleyes.gif

4th storm of the year for me, that's 3 more than 2011. A few crackles here in EC3 as cell went very close.

Just hope I can catch a decent one at home in NE Essex over the weekend as you can see very little sky here in the city.

Well all quiet in my part of the world, skies are becoming pretty clear now with some lengthy sunny spells. A differernt story in many other locations of the country with widespread torrential downpours and T-storms all over the shop!

I'd better not miss out on all the action! sad.png

Thanks for all the reports and updates guys, certainly some very exciting weather on offer today. good.gif

At the moment, tomorrow looks the better day for potentially thundery showers for the Bristol/Gloucestershire area. Will just have to wait and see how things stand tomorrow morning.

Today, some showers cropping up around us but nothing noteworthy yet and as the focus will be for more Eastern areas of the UK, i'm not expecting much today. Decent convection in S Wales heading E/NE but I don't think showers will develop enough for storms until after they've already passed my region. Many other areas look like having a bit of fun though!

Well that was a letdown, moderate rain from a cell that was producing lightning to my SW. However, just as I type now there's a rumble of thunder, not sure what direction its from though!

Looks like it's all moving east. Nice and sunny here now. Bit of a hail shower earlier, but nothing to write home about!

All quiet here on the South Coast. Had some very impressive cloud structures this morning on the way to work. Currently bathing in warm sunshine while having lunch! good.gif

The Sky to the North looks very convective.

Right off to Cut Me Lawn lazy.gifrofl.gif

Just for Scientific Purposes, Put SS9 In the Postcode Thingy and watch how the Estuary Winds Split the showers as they move towards this location.

Must be some microscale winds at work onshore to do this, has happened 3 days this week, just out of Interest what were the steering winds last week (Was Away in Kansas) but kids said they had Hail here on 2 or 3 of those days.

Just had a torrential rain shower 20mins ago. No thunder from it though as it looked thundery, bit of a disapointment again. Anything electrical is to the south by 30miles sorry.gif
