Clear night changed to 100% cloudcover and drizzle by dawn with some light rain around 9am.

Brightening up now but no sunshine of course

13C is not warm for the midlands in almost late May, next week must be a heatwave if today is warm.

In usual circumstances Id agree, but 13c is not bad compared to recently especially the other day where it was genuinely cold with snow and with a little sunshine it certainly has not felt bad at all.

Makes me reckon Sundays might as well be called Raindays considering the sun seems to hide on that day  although last Sunday (13th May) wasn't too bad I guess.

Excellent GFS 18z for next week. After Monday, temperatures between 20-23c, mostly dry with the risk of a few thundery showers/thunderstorms by the end of the week as Low pressure to the South West draws up some unstable air though perhaps not what id call a Spanish plume but still, next week beginning to shape up at long last like something resembling late spring/early summer. Lets hope it stays as a warm spell is long overdue and well deserved.

If the charts are correct then there could be an issue with North Sea cloud in the mornings especially but if the strong May sun cant burn it back, nothing will. Hopefully any of this should be limited. Staffordshire and Shropshire would suffer worst naturally.

Yes it does seem possible that miracles may happen next week for once laugh.png

Still ill believe it when I see it after this past 6 and a half weeks of weather, dark and grey again this morning though it does look much brighter to the south!

Edit: Brightened up now with some...wait for it...SUNSHINE! it must be because im heading to grey and drizzly Manchester the Telford curse is having a laugh at me
