Saw a small funnel cloud reaching out of the trough that is crossing the Midlands atm over Nuneaton around an hour ago.

There were very strong winds and very heavy rain.

Could be something to watch as it heads southwards?

Hard to tell whether their was any wintry mix with the precipitation here. Admittely slept through most of it thinking it was not going to be cold enough even for sleet, though I think it was probably just rain/sleety rain here. Would love to see a hailstorm, though, so hoping some of those heavy showers to the North can maintain there intensity.

Hopefully the temp will get back up after the last passage of rain and cells....we may have a chance of something later on

with all these spherics showing to the SE ...There seems be to an air of deja vu about the day

Decent thunderstorm building literally above us in Hereford. Hail, thunder, lightning, torrential rain! Fantastic.

Very, very impressive thunderstorm here. Fork lightning and a covering of the largest hail i've ever seen. Double pea size in some cases. May have a few pictures later. You can never quite grasp the full scale of it via an iphone camera though. Literally looks like winter out my back door.

So even Rugeley has beaten us to a storm. Exceptionally poor storm wise over the Black Country, North Worcestershire area thus far however not for hail and snow in May. :lol:

Fork lightning over head, some in the direction of Cannock. 2 or so strikes a minute. Sorry Blizzards mate, your missing out. Drive about 15 miles north and east.

Sadly, with these pulse storms it wont last another 30 - 40 miles or so so down to here.

Nothing at all here and Bham is supposedly 10 miles East of here. Clouds are barely dark at all.

Dad reported thunder just before 3 at Rugby. A reasonably eventful afternoon for the MIdlands then what with plenty of large Cb's, hailstorms and TL in places.

No thunder at all here all day in Rugby. Just been wet, had a heavy hail shower at about 1, though. Big dark clouds to my East, hopefully that'll bring a rumble or two.

dropped to 2.3°C during one of the showers here at 103m asl, dont think there was snow, but none in town at 80m asl
