Intermittent sunshine and hail showers here with the odd rumble of thunder thrown into the mix for good measure..

......certainly not boring weather by any means !

Just heard a rumble of thunder.

Let's hope something more happens today otherwise that's a pathetic attempt at these so called storms forecast.

It's nearly 3pm and not even had heavy rain yet let alone hail and electrical activity

Seems the heavier showers are over the midlands and Wales. Let's hope it stays that way.

Considering the BBC and weather Boffs over on twitter were saying that the heaviest for EA just goes to show showers crop up anywhere and are difficult to forecast!

We've just had a spell of reasonable sunshine here. Hopefully it'll put a bit of 'oomph' into the atmosphere!

In east London its beautiful sunshine and not one drop of rain since 10am.

Hope to get away with a complete dry day.

Looks like there was very intense rainfall in Enfield / Edmonton region 10 minutes ago, with thunder. Maybe slightly west of Chigwell though.

No thunder here but have had fairly hefty showers, the second of which was mostly hail. Sunny at the moment though

Hubby just and said torrential hail in enfield and that everything has gone white! Just had several flashes of lightning here and thunder now too..these type of showers just generate from the warmth and can be so hard to forecast, this is why the graphics look so vague on the weather in the morning, certainly didn't think would get weather quite like this! Just had more hail which was quite large, wouldn't have wanted to be out in it!

Yeah I'm just west of Enfield, had a very heavy hail shower which I was recording and wen I pressed stop there was a bright flash followed by a huge rumble! So close to getting it on video grr.

Not complaining of course....it was lovely to see :)

It's been pretty benign, where I am, so far today, with nothing more than moderate showers. Such is life!

I'm in loughton and the hail came down for 5 mins!

Nothing spectacular though.

Showers are very tame compared to previous weeks, looking forward to a dry few days.

A 5 minute hail shower with one clap of thunder is hardly electrifying... Lol

Amazing the difference few miles makes eh?! Just finished raining here, loughton notorious for being on the edge of everything, must have missed out on the fun!

Yes will be nice to get out and about tomorrow, boys are going crazy!

Wouldn't call loughton east London either but hey! :)

Maybe not Loughton, but this is a radar picture from 15:55. As can be seen the precipitation that was falling over Enfield / Edmonton was very heavy and cannot be described otherwise. Because the shower was moving quickly and decayed to a degree, there probably wouldn't have been flooding issues etc., but it would have been very good to witness while it lasted.

Not a sniff of anything electrical in Norwich; but we've had rain showers, some hail and it's freezing in that wind. :(

Looks like your area's been in the firing line this afternoon. I had my heaviest shower of the day about an hour ago, but that was only a couple of minutes of heavy rain.
