Maybe towards east from here in pontcanna

Yeah I think its to the south east, certainly sounded like from that last rumble. Looks like a very fun afternoon ahead. Loads of cells heading this way. Yay!

You've got to laugh! All last week when the wind was coming from the west Or NW there was never anything upwind of me, but now things look like kicking off in Ireland, the IOM and Wales but the wind is coming from completely the rong direction (from inland). My only hope it seems is if something developes over north Lancs or Cumbria and heads this way. So I am left cluching at straws as usual!

Looking at the radar, there are some showers/storms developing quite quickly over South Wales and heading right for me!

Whether they end up being thundery or not is a totally different matter, but something i will keep my eye on none the less!

Also, Ian Fergusson has just tweeted a thunderstorm risk for Somerset, Gloucs. And Wiltshire!

Could be a little more interesting than what I thought today!

West of Birmingham could be interesting later today as it looks like East of here, not too many showers will form. Also, the showers look like arriving at the time of best instability. :)

Well, a heavy homegrown rain shower right on top of me now. Hopefully it will continue to grow, hail and thunder please! :D If not, I will be happy that I have seen a heavy shower at least..

I think the north Midlands will be the place to be this afternoon....winds look set to converge around 4 through the evening. Places like Telford, Shrewsbury and across towards Staffs could do well in a bit.
