Just had a pretty huge hail storm here driving home from work. The biggest one yet for us...still no thunder or lightning though. Looks like Credley Heath got hit the the worst with an accumlation of hail there.

Just had a pretty huge hail storm here driving home from work. The biggest one yet for us...still no thunder or lightning though. Looks like Credley Heath got hit the the worst with an accumlation of hail there.

The hail didnt last long here but radar suggests a very intense hail storm over Cradley Heath. Hail looked pretty nasty to be out in!

that shower over Birmingham area looks really heavy on the radar

Yep Telford never fails to disappoint when it comes to weather lol! Well unless you like grey sky's with the odd sunny spell in summer and no thunderstorms then you will love it haha!

Joking aside, yep, it's damn frustrating when storms seemingly vanish into thin air in our neck of the woods, but perhaps more than 3 words for a post might be a bit more constructive...a quick 'sod all here' doesn't really add to the discussion!

thunder/lightning almost guaranteed tomorrow I think in the S midlands area, thurs though looking like a complete washout for Stafford

can see severall good cells looking to s/w of mendips , wind shifting around to more southerly . several truckers reporting torrential rain north of exeter ,but iv got a feeling it will move away east . saying that some spectacular wave type clouds mixed in with system building over somerset levels , its kicking off over blackdowns ,and radar showing a sudden build up of hvy showers in an arc heading e/ne ,anybody about in that area, sky looks magical ,going for camers cheers

That cluster of showers over Birmingham seems to have set up shop there, they're not going anywhere in a hurry by the looks of things...It'll be interesting to see the NW rainfall accumulations for that area when they update

Was just going to put something like "meh" in the hope of winning the most unconstructive post title but have more to say regarding tomorrow blum.gif .

And onto tomorrow - the BBC really ramping up the "intense thundery downpours" in this evenings forecast for the southern half of the UK. It looks okay from the models. Won't get here though, although Thursday may provide opportunity.

'meh' would've won it hands down....lol

the hi-res models have tonight's showers continuing until well after dark, followed by tomorrow morning's deluge and then the prospect of maybe some decent thunderstorms for many parts (hopefully the West Midlands!) for tomorrow afternoon into the evening
