It's gone lighter but i don't think this storm has even got started yet, louder thunder and more "flashy" lightning. Rain just got heavier again. OK OK i'm going to stay up....lol

Ok, there's about 1 flash of lightning every minute or so here in Sutton Coldfield, there's also heavy rain - and it's pitch dark.

The thunder is very quiet and very high up, but there's still decent amounts of lightning.

Something developing to the East of me around the Hope Valley, visibility has reduced and hints of Ac Cas rising rapidly into a ever darkening sky. Unfortunately going to miss where I am but Sheffield should see some fun and games if developments keep up.

According to the MetOffice London will hit 28-29*C today, currently at 24*C at 10am. With the temperature range showing that 30*C is not out of the question, I take it the trough is going through now with the cold front behind it.

Crazy , just crazy we are in the warmest area , nearest the continent , right in the plume , what do we get ........... naffall

Unlike some I’m not writing my chances off today yet, and as the beast goes on to rampage through the west midlands and east midlands and potentially become more severe, there are now three areas of storms with lightening attached in south east Wales, heading north east.

Just north and west of Porthcawl and Measteg

East of Landovery

Off the cost of Aberaron

Not sure but is the rain and storms around the coast of Wales the cold front???

Hope for it to intensify and head in the general direction of the last storms, and places west and north of where has been effected this morning may get a chance of something!

I know this must be annoying now but I have to go out soon, am I going to see anything?

Looks awesome on radar and on the brum cam. You guys better be getting some footage of this beast good.gif

Hopefully will get up to about 27 degrees here today, will make up for no storms. Although the bbc graphics for my area show intense cells on their website wacko.png

Sky is clearing here and the sun is trying to break through. Chinook flyng around seems to be having fun too!

Stressful as british weather is when things don't happen, its worth every swear word when it does!

Ok, it's better here again... lightning every 30 seconds and pretty much constant, quiet, thunder. Obviously still very high up, but an impressive show none the less!
