I know this must be annoying now but I have to go out soon, am I going to see anything?

The later the day goes on the lesser the threat diminished for the Peak District, however that's not to rule out topographic forcing but I think this will be more of a 'issue' for the eastern edge of the Peaks as the instability moves into Lincs/Yorks by the late afternoon/evening period. Never say never though.

Netweather convective forecast for today, just noticed it now...

I'm right in the middle of the moderate box. I might have to save that map as it could be some time before that happens again.

'Brum' is trending on Twitter! It's a good source of info.

West Mids Fire Service say they are taking 'flood related calls' now.

Darkening slightly here now.

New cell with lightening west of Gloucester (over Forest of Dean)

Storms in South East Wales, still with lightening and still heading north and north east and intensifying... Brecon might be in for a hit next. Storm off the West coast of Wales has died

Still game on for Shropshire, Flintshire Cheshire, Staffordshire if these don't give us the right hand swerve like this morning!
