Been watching things this morning and wow some of these storms look seriously intense! ohmy.png

I expect it will be dwarfed by some, but I intended to try and upload my footage of the relatively good storm we had here this morning for those that want to see or without a storm. Technology is trying it's darn right best to stop me doing this though, but I'll get there, I hope!

You don't know how much I'd love to be under that lot in the Midlands now, but I can't complain as we were pretty lucky here last night really.

Enjoy your storms those that get them, I look forward to some great footage! I reckon it would be a good idea to create a separate thread for peoples footage so it doesn't get lost in this thread in about 2 seconds..lol

I expect these storms will be just about at my area in a few hours, early lunch and a walk down to the riverside with my camera, hopefully will get a good view of them coming in from the south west

Bright and sunny here - tried to get footage, but grandparents called while filming, resulting in dropping of camera. So... Nothing from me I'm afraid, I can still here thunder though.

Update from Solihull...(now the beast as passed by)

We were hit head on by the second storm (although the two seem to have joined up now).

Flooding outside on road and people trying to sweep water away from their houses.

The rainfall was the most intense I have seen since I saw 20 inches in a Queensland cyclone in 24 hours. Couldn't see the house which is 50 yards away!!.

The lightening was incredible at the peak of the storm it was almost continuous, but thank goodness no strikes hit the ground around here.

The most exciting thing about the storm though was that although the storm came up from the SSW was that the last 10 mins of the beast the wind starting gusting at 40 mph from the north!! and slowly backed to the west as it cleared.

A truly remarkable storm.

I think that later on this pm somone is going to get slaughterd in the East Midlands.

Cell passing just NW of Bedduth now Gordon

I know, we missed it by about 7 miles!!! as per...

There's still plenty of time today for stuff to happen, we just need the cloud to shift now and for the sun to do it's work!

The humidity from 'El Brumo' will help the convection I think.

Erm, I hate to mention it but the east is a waste of space as far as storms go in the past few years (I should know, I've lived here since 1986 :D ) Off to cut some grass and catch some rays :D

Took the Brum storm head on, viewing from 6th floor. Saw the metallic part of the Bullring get hit by a large CG. Best storm of the season so far!

Totally missed us sadly, it went too far west but we heard all the thunder. Think I'm in the wrong place for anything today but would love to see pictures!
