This afternoon and Friday's yellow Met O warnings seem to have been joined up with another one for Thursday .....

Issued at - 04 Jul 2012, 13:35

Scattered heavy showers or thunderstorms are likely at times on Thursday, particularly during the afternoon and evening with the potential for some heavy rainfall in places. The public should be aware that, following recent heavy rainfall, the ground remains saturated, and that further rainfall could lead to surface water flooding.

Yellow Warning of Rain for London & South East England :

Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Greater London, Kent, Medway, Milton Keynes & Surrey

valid from 0005 Thu 05 Jul to 2355 Thu 05 Jul

Yellow Warning of Rain for East of England :

Bedford, Cambridgeshire, Central Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Luton, Norfolk, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea, Suffolk & Thurrock

valid from 0005 Thu 05 Jul to 2355 Thu 05 Jul

............so basically take the following letters and re arrange them to create your own forecast....

I see they've covered themselves for any potential imports tonight then...

All except for the 5 minutes either side of midnight.wink.png

who thinks those storms coming out of france will turn electrical later?

Mmmm I'm tempted to say not I'm afraid. But there are still opportunities throughout the next three days.

25c here! Much warmer forecast but I'm not complain with all the sunshine that's with it :-) Can see the tops of the storm clouds in France out to the SE...they're huge!

Edit: 25.9c

Don't despairsmile.png The forecast for us is way better than it was a couple of days ago, as JP has indicated.

Still nothing here though yet, but I'm sort of confident.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent/content/webcams/dover_webcam1.shtml

Webcam at Dover shows the clouds over France quite well....here's hoping 24.6c here....

Ps it is surprisingly lovely out there today..... Compared to this mornings forecast.... Hope we get a bit electrical activity out of the precipitation moving up from the channel.... Lamb tagine in the oven, kettle boiled for couscous.... Cider in hand and tour de France on and ferrer beating Murray.......
