Morning all,

A very dull and damp Monday morning here, I'm hoping the rain holds of for now as I'm off to Althorp today and although I will mostly be in the house I would like to take a walk round the grounds at some point to see the round oval.

Could be a very interesting week, on the convection side of things?

Maybe not for our region, but more so for our Northern colleagues!

I'm never that worried if it's miserable while I'm at work.

I can get hacked off if weekends are ruined though. The scenarios I really don't like are the occasional ones where the weekend is rubbish, so I'm stuck indoors, the working week after is then fine, followed by another rubbish weekend. If this cycle repeats again, then I become a particularly grumpy git.dry.png Absolutely nothing I can do about it of course, so it could be argued that it's a wasted emotion, but nonetheless Mr Grumpy will likely be in residence at my house!ph34r.png

And summer continues..... Peeing down with rain here and it feels horribly like Autumn. Will we ever get out of this rut? August i hope will see vast improvement.

Friday could be interesting in terms of storms.

Hopefully.

I think that parts of the region will get storms later this week, hopefully with reasonable amounts of sunshine too. I'm going to nowcast anything that happens though, as I forgot the important lesson last week of how thundery weather is hard to forecast a long way out.

Quiet here; a sure sign of non descript weatherlaugh.png

We've had very little rain so far here, but heavier stuff seemed to pop up further east earlier. Now all is looking pretty mundane.

It seems like Andy Murray has managed to start anyway. Not that I take a lot of notice of tennis, normally.

Looking up at the sky I feel as though I am trapped inside a giant Tupperware box, albeit one that is leaking. Still, once I have finished the spray-lashed trip round the M25 I can look forward to that traditional July evening meal of a bowl of hearty soup with crusty bread and then settling down in front of the log fire as the wind blows the smoke back into the room and the house slowly fills with the smells and rhythms of Autumn. If anyone thinks from my tone that I am getting just the teeniest bit fed up with this, then they are right!

I would say 'chins up' to everyone but that would only mean you get rain up your nose
