fax charts

sunday looks dry ohmy.pngohmy.pngohmy.png

makes a change

PPVI89.png

monday looks wet (heavy showers and breezy)

PPVK89.png

tuesday more heavy showers coming in on a stiff south westerly wind

low pressure to our west causing this

PPVM89.png

wednesday again low pressure gets closer but still to our west

more heavy showers

PPVO89.png

how gfs sees next week

wednesday12z high enough cape to set off some storms

Rtavn11411.png

wednesday 18z i find interesting

the high cape keeps over the water in france

maybe keeping the cape away from us might generate some stronger storms

for the south east using the channel to make the air more unstable

Rtavn12011.png

Rtavn1205.png

thursday

warmer wrapped around low pressure again bringing heavy rain

note the two diffrent air temperatures over the south east

possible rumble or two in the heavier bursts

Rtavn1442.png

Rtavn14411.png

friday

low pressure still close to our south west

heavy rain and slightly higher cape means again

possible rumbles in the heavier

Rtavn1682.png

Rtavn16817.png

Rtavn1685.png

Rtavn16811.png

no point in going further

although saturday could be lively

Rtavn19211.png

Rtavn1924.png

Rtavn1921.png

if these are right flooding is going to start to be a real problem again

MT8_London_ens.png

gfs ensembles are wet from the 3rd

and below average temperatures

this was all based on the 18z and will look different tomorrow

Great stuff JP, thanks, So potential thunder on the horizon then.

Just a thought with some heavy showers/rain around into the morning today any chance of a rumble of thunder? not checked must take alook!

Morning all.

Not too sure what the weather is like, as I need to open the curtains, but can hear there's a breeze and suspect it's cloudy (my curtains aren't so thick that I can't tell whether or not it's sunnycool.png but detecting mere 'brightness' is difficult)

Morning, after a very disturbed night (don't ask! ) I gave up on sleep and decided to get an early walk in before I go out and leave the dogs for the day, just got back and the heaven's opened so maybe there is a God !

It's stopped again now and there are some patches of blue appearing in the overcast sky, it's not unpleasant at 16 degrees this early in the day so I'm hopeful it will improve as I'm off to meet some of my family in Marlow for lunch by the Thames.

Sounds nice.

I've got a day that could descend into a beer session lined up. Going for a lunchtime drink, then off to Great Bentley carnival and fair - I might even go on the dodgems for the first time in quite a few years (definitely head on collisions called for, even if I'm then banned) and then meeting a Welsh couple I know, from a previous holiday, in Colchester later.

Apparently a brief, heavy shower went through Colchester an hour or so ago, but it now looks set fair for a while. It's actually very pleasant here at the moment.cool.png

Lovely day in Ipswich. Cloudy but bright with warm sun. Slight breeze. Seems there are some thundery showers prowling around further north. Hope they move down here. :)
