Really thought I'd get a thunderstorm! The sky looked so thundery and dark. But alas, all I got was a few heavy rain drops with the wind picking up! it's heading SW.

Really thought I'd get a thunderstorm! The sky looked so thundery and dark. But alas, all I got was a few heavy rain drops with the wind picking up! it's heading SW.

Yep, What rubbish.

I think we will never see a storm again.

A few years ago , we were led to believe thundery activity would increase, you know, with GW and all that,

Not going to plan is it

Its decreasing, significantly

Some very big cbs to the north and west of Bristol at the moment, very robust looking and some intense returns on the radar.

Storm potential in Bristol today is a bit like Andy Murray today, it started well, looked promising but is rapidly going downhill now.

We must get something in Norwich. It FEELS like a storm is around somewhere. It's so still and muggy. Very dark skies on way back from Ipswich but no lightning seen at all.

None of these showers can quite get going.

Just as they poke up into a full blown CB they destroy themselves.
