Some hefty convection appearing on the southern horizon with what looks like a maturing anvil to the SE. Not expecting owt here, as usual, though

That heavy shower that just passed through doncaster had rotation with the updrafts. Nearly formed a funnel cloud!

Definitely, right over the top of us we spotted rotation and an attempt to try and form something on its leading edge. Now passing thunder as the main cell passes over.

one flash 30 secs ago with rumble about 15 secs later, again centre seems ESE of here dry but dark chiefly to the east; areas of blue S-SSW of here with some pretty interesting looking clouds on the edge of this storm-more Cu 2 tops building behind the blue

Not so far, although there are currently new cells popping up all over the place so something could happen. That cell over Doncaster is heading slightly north of west and so will probably hit Wakefield next.

Please.... please let it hold together and break through into Queensbury!!!

Definitely.

Apologies for the shoddy camera work, taken with my phone, as my brother has the video camera. This is a blooming monsoon.

Think the core of it has just hit me. The rainfall is just insane.

Great video and to think that is heading in my direction. I am soooo hoping this doesn't die before it gets here. If its stays intact it will hit here by 4pmish.

I think the NW might be in luck later as we're downwind of anything that is forming over derbyshire and yorkshire. Convection is building here and the ground is very hot to touch as the sun's been on it all day. Crosby is also still the hottest playce in the UK!

Zippo here bar a brief light shower. Plenty of towers skirting the area though and a couple that passed silently to the east and to the west at the same time.

Possible funnel from the back of that cell just passing over Doncaster, its to my SW, almost over Edenthorpe, but has broken up virtually straight away.

Nice one robt. It does look to be dying on the latest radar though :(

It wouldn't surprise me if it did, the last one was shredded and never even made it this far. I'm still hoping.

That's probably my lot for today. A brief heavy shower but still no storm!
