Nice one robt. It does look to be dying on the latest radar though sad.png

It wouldn't surprise me if it did, the last one was shredded and never even made it this far. I'm still hoping.

It would be slightly disappointing, but not surprising.

Possible funnel from the back of that cell just passing over Doncaster, its to my SW, almost over Edenthorpe, but has broken up virtually straight away.

One or two have tried right over me in edenthorpe, very interesting. Seems to have lost electrical activity.

It does appear to have lost all that bang..

Aaron, on the charts I saw, the CAPE/LI was at its peak above South and West Yorkshire at this time, so I'm not really surprised another couple of cells have popped up.

Oh look all the lightning is in the midlands again.

And the slightly little bit north of the midlands bit of Yorkshire *waves* ;)

Just another teasing session going on round here again. The active looking red blobs being shredded as they approach. Long over due for a storm to start on top us.

Lincolnshire is part of the East Midlands according to the Met Office though.

I feel utterly gutted after spending an entire saturday afternoon tracking a storm, getting excited just for it to be shredded 30 miles away to my east.

Think i need a break from this storm tracking/chasing, my luck just isn't in this year sad.png

Anyway.... storm is tracking across South Notts into Derby area right now, the only storm currently in the country. Who would have thought that storms would have peaked and be dying at only 4pm in the afternoon on a day in July. We need a proper summer Aaaaaaargh!!!!!

Sorry, haven't had a rant for so long.... just feel like i needed one. Thanks for having to listen, feeling better now smile.png

Edit: Actually a new storm has gone up near Sheffield whilst I was mid-rant.

Well is the teasing going to end? Just fed the goldfish and can hear Thunder. So may have another weak T storm. That would be two this year and a Thundery shower. Wots happening?

Just been to (what should have been) a tractor-pull event near Buxton in the Peak District. Needless to say the place was a mudbath and we just escaped from the car-park before the rain made it nearly impassable despite the 4x4.

That's what 62mm of rain in just 7 days does around here, flooding also on the Ashbourne road going from traffic news.

Quite a few rumbles of thunder, fourth storm of the year now, maybe more to come?

Had the same here. It looks like its going to slide up the west side of Sheffield. Some more storms moving up from Nottingham.

Anyone know why there's a warning out for the south-east for rain? Looking through the models I can't see an awful lot happening.
