A few of my friends have gone up to the Lake District yesterday afternoon, before heading down to watch football at Preston tomorrow, where I'll join them. I'll head up by train at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

I've just seen the radar, so have texted them 'how's the weather?' Cruel...rofl.gif

22C here, a nice pleasant day so far and looking forward to a warm/hot weekend, also looking forward to seeing just how high the temperatures could get across Europe.

I've been a couple of times in the past and to other major music festivals, but it's not really my thing any more - with hindsight, I don't think it ever really was. I know others who are going though.smile.png

I also know what you mean about hot weather making these things unpleasant. I went to the 24hr race at Le Mans in June 2005, with 'a luxury campsite offering deluxe camping' (is there really such a thing?laugh.png ). The temperatures got to about 34/35C. People were abandoning their tents by 7:00 in the morning, as they were becoming very unpleasant places to be.laugh.png

very tropical feel to the breeze here. 25c, just perfect to sit out in the garden and have a beer, which is exactly what i am doing :).

Anyone have a link where it shows the top temperatures in the UK?

There's something on the Netweather home page right now. I don't know whether this is permanent though.

Bbc se today forecast edging 32-33c Sunday north Kent..... It's what I've been thinking for last few days....mite have a crack at 34c somewhere..... Hot hot hot......and start of the prem this weekend.....

I Think JP That most are keeping options open, I don't think though I would rule out any chance of T Storms popping up. Conditions are pretty tasty compared to previous. Look out for the anvil shaped cloud with the plume above it...That's a good start John.
