Really...Can I come out of my bunker yet?

Nope. You should probably stay there.. I would get a water pump however.

Re: the rain :(

Still looking nasty for the SW however its looking like South Wales could be in for the worst of it....

Will wait for the next run or two to put the nail in..

Amber warnings have been updated, they include more of Dorset/Bristol and Somerset.

Interesting they don't cover south wales.. Yet all the PPN accu charts show HUGE amounts....

Obviously where gets hit the hardest will vary compared to the models.. Radar watching tomorrow... Boat at the ready.

Yeah difficult one that .. NAE and GFS are showing that, the UKMO precip isn't so spectacular compared to those. I suspect there maybe a halfway-house between their MOGREPS model and some of the others.

Council about today clearing all the storm drains,

We've had that going on in the backroads where i live, it's absolutely pointless!

All they do is suck out the rubbish in the vertical pipe, the horizontal pipes are completely solid with soil and other stuff. In all the years that i lived here, i haven't seen a single drain working as it should. sorry.gif

Latest NAE suggests South Wales & the far SW of England could see the heaviest of the rainfall over the next 48 hours, with as much as 60mm possible.

Elsewhere up to 30mm across a vast swaythe of Southern England;

Oh god. Its shifted the worst of it from Cornwall to here.. Good for Cornwall but the levels here - well. Wish everyone luck if this verifies.

Waiting for today's football to be officially postponed!

And hoping the drier conditions for Christmas Day/Boxing Day prevail so we can have a Bank Holiday local derby!
