Well maybe my luck is changing and will the weather follow that?

I've just been informed that I'm a winner, with regards to the Euromillions lottery...

£3.20 has been paid into my online account. Happy Days!doh.gif

Maybe sleet will follow then...laugh.png

Monday looking snow free on this run, I don't think I'll go beyond that at the moment. Lets see what the other models follow with.

Not telling everybody about this great snow event now, not worth getting egg on my face this time, looks like the same story again getting cold again for a few days then the Atlantic comes in

One run and the model thread breaks down...What did I say yesterday? We are going to see downgrades and stuff..It's a computer !! -.- No doubt there will be upgrades later and everyone will be happy again lol..

Still can't understand how negative folk get when one run shows slightly less snow (but still snowing for some time remember). If it were one really snowy run then everyone would be reaching for the cold weather clothing and sledges, but strangely human nature always seems to be looking for the bad outcome. Come on peeps - look upwards and be positive!!!!!

Happy new year guys. Haven't posted in a while. Hope your all doing well.

The 06z increases our snow chances for the weekend so no complaints there :-)

However as I'm sure you are all aware, the 06z has followed on from the 00z and gives us S'westerley winds next week. Just terrible if you ask me.

Those of you that say its "one run" be careful!!

That's what was floating around last month and look what happened.....??!!!???

This is almost mirror image of Dec 2012.

I even think the 00z GFS was the first to pick up on the Atlantic train... Runs that followed continued the theme. ECM then jumped on board 24hrs later... The rest is history!

A whole month of mild wet dross infact :-(

I know I shouldn't compare, but you can't help it, the UK winter is full of let downs!

Yesterday it was a great flow from the East now its back to the Atlantic, how come these computers cant get it right back to windows and street llights like it was in the 80s

Because they are guessing..They are "trying" to forecast something so far out..With all technology in the world...(for now) it is im possible to say exactly what the weather will be 3-5 days out... Yes we can nail down say rain, sun clouds wind ETC. But amounts, strength temps ETC much more difficult

Just watched the GFS evolve. Two dodgy runs on the trot, past the weekend / early next week now. This one worse than the 00Z from a cold perspective.

Still FI though. :)

Ok Coast!

Back to the 06z what I feel is happened/happening is the SW south west of Iceland is now stronger therefore blocking of height rises. Simple as that!

Without Greenland height rises it with inevitably bring in the Atlantic train.

Some are saying this is a GFS wobble, I'm not so sure, I see it as the models firming up on this SW and developing it further, that would be the mostly likely outcome. Why?

Because most failed easterly's/ arctic outbreaks are due to Shortwaves destroying our winter dreams. If the 12z drops this Shortwave ill be very surprised.

Fingers and toes crossed that the 12z proves that this is infact a 'wobble'
