Bloody hell! EC definitely joins the consensus with a peach... this chart would provide us with a very cold NE flow with snow shrs across eastern and southern parts, some in the far north as well- note the atlantic profile, very.... disrupted!

Lovely at +120. HP so much better tilted. You would think we are heading for a stellar run here. But who cares, we have cross-major-model agreement. Now what could possibly go wrong! smile.png

People saying messy at 120-

With the embedded cold air over england- the energy over eastern greenland is going to move SSE over the UK at 144- very similar to the GFS- will be a band of heavy snow especially on the eastern flank....

T144 could be better than the other models if the shortwave dives far enough down the western uk and re inforces the euro trough. big difference on the eastern seaboad wrt to yesterday's run. no idea if this is going to be better mid range but its as good for the weekend and i wonder if exteter are going to start talking the 'S' word for the weekend now?

Would like to hear Ian Browns thoughts on this bactrack from the ECMWF ?

Was you expecting this tonight ? And what do you think has been the reason for this change in tonights output ?

Yep pretty much what the 06Z was suggesting.

So at the moment based on all of the output Saturday could see an area of snow which will be followed by snow showers on Sunday. During Monday another band of snow moving SE.

I've known worse outlooks and at the moment the Met O outlook looks like it could need to be adjusted.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was JACK FROST, and Hell followed with him.
