Still snowing lightly here in Bacup although the flakes are slightly bigger than the talcum powder we have had so far.

We have got a covering but so small that you couldn't even attempt to measure it, probably a couple of millimetres at best.

It,s a bit ironic that after enduring over 1900mm of rain in 2012, a record in these parts the one time we want heavy stuff to fall we get the white equivalent of a heavy dew.

A few millimetres? Wow! How are you going to dig yourself out.

That's all I usually get in a year.

Enjoy it anyway.

Same story here, light sleet not sticking except to the tops of cars. The main band is going to have to kick into life before it exits stage right for it too leave anything white behind. BBC still have 'heavy snow' from 9pm-11pm but I'm doubtful about that.

Just checked, its coming down quite heavy and it is about 50/50 rain and snow but the snow bits are increasing.........evaporation cooling?

Why is it that when you check your lampost at the front of the house, you run to the back of the house to check out there too, they both be the same?? fool.gif

You can come and get it if you want, a wheelbarrow should take care of it all.

On second thoughts though, after watching Eno Equator's less than inspiring look at the next fews days on NW Tonight I think I'll stick it in the freezer for later.

It might just come in handy.

drove back from West Cumbria, really hammered it down with big snow flakes between Sedbergh and Carnforth. Snowing lightly at Longridge, settling, got a couple of cm's, but its not convincing.
