It's just rain pretending to be snow in South Liverpool. A few drops join together occasionally to give the impression of a small snowflake but it's not fooling anyone!

It was snowing on the blackpool seafront earlier today noting here in bootle though!

Thick and fast now on roads,pavements, cars,bins,garden benches, everywhere! Lol

Slight accumulation on grass and car roof. Cannot believe heavy snow in Leyland its currently not doing anything here. Looks like the Preston snowdome is out for another winter.

I cant believe it either! As its much lower and flatter in leyland than it is in preston!

Temp has dropped to 0.5C and light snow again which is sticking, looking hopeful for tonight's next band.

Proper snow falling here now with biggish flakes. Won't last long though as too far south for that heavyish precip just north of here

Nice to see all you folks west of the M6 getting snow after everything pointed to a non event.

For once in terms of snow, west really is best.

Just starting to stick now on grass etc... Still light snow and ground very wet from earlier sleet. Hoping for the temp drops followed by the second band later on, let's hope it's a bit more intense

Band probably going to back build as it moves across land. We've had sleet, then rain, then snow and then lots of snow, moderate at times. Only stuck in a few places though.

Air temp is 1.1C, DP is 1.0C and the wet bulb is 1.0C. Certainly looks good for later on if it's snowing at these temperatures now. Evaporative cooling, I love you.
