Gone a touch more sleety in the lighter stuff, seems this will be the case for highish areas in black country & Brum, sleety stuff in lighter bursts, snow in the heavier stuff.

Problem is looking at the radar, there doesn't seem all that much heavy precip around.

IN EFFECT UNTIL 0600UTC TUESDAY 15TH JANUARY 2013

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE WEATHER AFFECTING THE INDICATED REGIONS IN THE TIME PERIOD SPECIFIED. THREATS WITHIN THIS WATCH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: HEAVY SNOW...ICE

DISCUSSION:

THERE IS GOOD MODEL AGREEMENT AND INTER-AGENCY AWARENESS OF LOW PRESSURE MOVING S/SE OVER THE UNITED KINGDOM WITHIN THE TIMESCALE SPECIFIED. AS THE LOW TRANSITS THROUGH THE COUNTRY AND THE ASSOCIATED FRONTAL SYSTEMS PUSH SE MEETING THE COLD AIR CURRENTLY IN PLACE, SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR PROVIDING SOME HEAVY FALLS WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF BETWEEN 2-5CM AT LOWER LEVELS ALTHOUGH 5-10CM IS LIKELY ABOVE 200-300 METERS.

Don't think I ever seen such consistent sleet.... Slowly getting more like snow though

Same here. Keeps threatening to snow but just does not quite make it :)

Loads of snow here - a good few cms on top of the covering from saturday (+yesterday eve). Been heavy/moderate for a while now. Brief period of icy rain/sleet earlier but not enough to melt anything

Snowing a litle more in birmingham though surfaces wet from rain so not sticking on mobile so can't view radar can anyone update me?

Heavy snow here in Heath Hayes, pavements white again after earlier thaw.

Moderate snow in Brownhills started off as rain n got increasingly snowish! I love being wrong lol.
