On latest radar its crossing the estuary......

Damn

That means it arriving too quickly for the temps and dps to drop enough!

In fact raintoday forecast for 2am shows sleet for virtuallly all of Kent, except on the North Downs. Bu66er

Will that make any difference Steve?

Northolt 1.3c DP -0c. Temp has fallen 0.7c in an hour.

Probably be snow if and when it gets here. Big if here in the west of our region - think it will be a near miss.

You might be ok with that elevation, Sarah. At least the raintoday forecast says so. In perhaps an hour or so. Gonna stay up?

PPVE89.gif?31415

tomorrow

very cold north easterly flow

front very close to the south east--showers in kent?

temps around 2 degrees

feeling raw in the wind

staying dry

PPVG89.gif?31415

tomorrow night

very cold -3 to -5

cold east to north east flow

looks dry

still under 528 dam air

now look at the first chart and then the second chart

look to our north east

you see a trough has been added which crosses the south east either late afternoon or overnight

another one to watch

PPVI89.gif?31415

wednesday

cold east-north easterly flow

looks dry but very cold

0-2 degrees max

still under 528 dam air so if any showers pop up they will be snow

PPVJ89.gif?31415

wednesday night

very cold east-north east flow

looks dry and very cold

-8 or even lower

still under 528 dam air

PPVK89.gif?31415

thursday

very cold north easterly flow

still under 528 dam air

looks dry

could we see a below 0 day here

looks possible

Right now for Kent wouldnt be surprised if the old sweet spots do well in north Kent, if it continues on current track, with the elevation like blue bell hill region, etc

Was suprised to see the amount of snow last night in tankerton and chestfield and swalecliffe near tesco today compared to faversham, 1cm here at most, there at least two/ three inches..... Very localised in that area though.....

Sarah, think the Downs of E.Kent might get at least a dusting from this ppn moving south over E.Anglia. What's your elevation there?

Regards,

Tom

Temps and DP just edging down now as more of a northerly wind in Southend.

As we stand we will get snow when the precip hits I am certain, its wether we can keep it as snow that worries me!

I know why the temps are still to high here- still in atlantic air-

If you have net weather radar zoom in on day DA9 & watch the little shower ahead of the wrap- the wrap is moving SSW the shower is steaming SE-

S

Steve just watched the latest bbc forecast (often incorrect) they show lite snow across London, my guess this will be from showers as the wind turns nne, you can see this happening at the moment with stream of showers above Hull.

I am thinking once the wraparound moves away there will be a brief window of heavy showers, am I barking up the wrong tree?
