Looks like that current band is making good progress NE. Seems to be fragmenting a little north of where you are but if the latest GFS is right there should be some snowfall for most southern parts of the region this evening

Quite clear to see this is a significant upgrade in snowfall potential for the whole region by the GFS!

Lets hope this trend continues!

OMG that would be truly something but do we even dare look at it after being dragged backwards through the barrell? How cud it change so dramatically? I would be in snow heaven but I cant let myself hope any more.

Lol i dont know my geography!! Just been looking on the map thinking all along leyland was clearly under the amber warnings, then realised, no we are alot further up than liverpool ! Lol its the runs to Alder Hey we do where i thought we were closer, bummer!

I mentioned that about half hour ago that from 3pm onwards tomorrow it was showing snow right over the northwest whereas the two other forecasts for much of the day before that was showing nothing at all for our region

I just watched the 5 to 4 weather and deffo an upgrade

Well if we are looking at the GFS it is def an upgrade, just dont get too carried away with it as we have been upset before, personally from my experience the GFS is not the one to watch, i hope im wrong and will be chuffed to bits if so

I watched that and seems to show patchy heavy snow over us tomorrow afternoon.

This could be one of those classics that see's the precip further north burying most parts in the southern half of NW. I'm lucky to still have a couple of cm covering from the other day. Hopefully the winds will be intense enough to aid some mega drifting

I'm surprised the heavier stuff reached you this early, it does show on the GFS 12z the precipitation moving North into the rest of the region this evening.
