Just dropping in to say good luck to you all. I'm sure we're all going to get battered by this event. Latest NAE shows some uber snow for your region too.

As far as the current temps are concerned, don't worry too much. I'm in the METO red bullseye and i've still got +3.1C.

Well i'll be up all night with my knowledge, not sure if that will help. But i have been doing this for a long time for a 28 year old. The 18Z NAE looks good for us in Hampshire. Not long till we find out.

Temp 2C, Currently light rain/sleet. Getting worried. I wish this horrible little feature would blow away and let the temps go down before the real PPN comes in! Its made the temps go up, plus the surfaces are wet which means any snow won't settle as quick! ggrrrr

This sleet rain around here giving the gritting lorries a nightmare, they've been through twice already tonight on the A343 but IMO it looks like there's enough water around to wash it away again. Going to big ice problems

On that note and once again, thanks Ian.

Guys and gals, moving on from the jokes that I requested, very much appreciated, however...................................

With Ian's post above, having me on the edge of my seat, let us have those Temperatures reports thick and fast.

I would especially like to hear the reports from the South Coast and any subsequent Dewpoint readings and lamp-post reports are always welcome. g015.gif

5.1c and 0 dp

I am finding this remarkable. I can't recall ever seeing snow developing in this way - and that's saying something!
