Slight issue for us in Herts is , those Western side may be quite well place. For East Herts, the real heaviest of snow rate, never quite makes it to this location at least from NAE and GFS, or at least not for the same length of time.

The key might be if the PPN is a little further advanced than the 06z model which in that case if it is, then about 12 onwards should see a heavier rate of snow falling for a time.

ok thanks well I'm sorta in middle of herts (Hatfield) will just have to wait and see

My car is now a nice shade of white

Holy moo, gravity shift as well.

I cant deal with snow and gravity reversals all at the same time.

Is it snowing upwards there ?

:-)

Judging by the radar it should be hitting Colchester soon....I'm currently at work at a school in Ipswich. Kids going home at lunchtime.

So persistent snow approaching Colchester already, still snowing here from showers off the sea. Really quite bleak here with almost persistent light/moderate snow under grey skies and a brisk wind. brrrrr cold.gif

Really light stuff started over here now. Settled too. I'd love some heavier stuff but a few hours of this would probably gather quite a decent bit.

Bigger chunks please!

We're all going home in a few minutes...anyone know what the roads are like in Luton/Dunstable/St. Albans??search.gif

I've just come home from St Albans towncentre to the SE of the town. All the major roads were fine, but the side roads are a bit slippy as they haven't been gritted.
