Had to abandon my deliveries for the day. Tried to do some in Havant and it's a no go zone! never seen snow like that so close to the coast. Petersfield just as bad and still steadily snowing. What an event! Reminds me of the 80's when living in Surrey.

Apparently the M5 near me is at a standstill. Utter chaos! Lots of people must have somewhere very important to drive to, after all everyone pays attention to the warnings don't they about not driving unless absolutely necessary.

Also kids are using my road like a race track, its a 30 - 20 mph in good conditions, I have seen cars doing 40 plus.

Some people need locking up for their own safety in times such as these.

Morning everyone, haven't read through the thread so only have a vague idea about what's happened and where but up here in the hills, we're doing quite well. At 3 this morning when it had just started (bang on the METO forecast), the wind was fierce and snow horizontal. It's still windy here but the level depth on the patio table is 6 inches. The A37 is shut in various placed due to drifting, could be quite interesting up on the Mendip plateau....Porridge and coffee for me, then off out with the camera in the Landy, see how far I can get. Hopefully pics later.

Snow stopped here, we have had around 7cm's which is not to shabby. Hopefully to to much melt.

Still light snow falling in the eastern side of Weston, hope it continues too, don't care that it's light, it's nice to see snow falling

What a very nice day.Car is in garage....No snow at 02:00 when awake.backto sleep then awake at 04:50 and there was the white stuff falling gently..Backto sleep untill 06:00 and was then falling heavy and being blown about.The the cover is thick at least 12 cm...Only light snow falling now...Wind is blowing it about...Love It....

This PPN to the west look sinteresting, little worried about its warmth though.

Radar shows it as rain / sleet. Please god. stay as snow.

Certainly looks like quite a bit of precipitation is moving into the Bristol channel, question is would that be snow or a wintry mix.
