Does anyone know if temps are expected to fall below zero tonight or is our snow likely to just melt, till the next lot of course?

Well we are pretty much coming into the warmest part of the day now, and the way the winds are shifting east i cant see much more melting or temp increase, might shift up a degree at most, could get quite a few more snow showers yet too for the icing on the sugar! Temps will get very low tonight i expect!

Do you really reckon? Can't believe I want more snow after the dumping we have received already. Greedy or what! Bring it on!

Wait and see what comes up from France on Sunday!

Hold tight WSM, Clevedon and into Bristol - Round two's showers start in 15mins!

Yep that's certainly building out in the Bristol channel, heading this way.

The further South and West you are, i.e. coastal locations, urban heat islands etc., it is expected to melt. However, I am not convinced that this snow event isn't exactly going to plan, but time will tell.

Barometer trends should tell us something as to my suspicions, any reports out there?

Been out for a walk with the children and dogs and now drying out with a coffee and wagon wheel. have about 5 ins here and after a lull its just started lightly snowing again. My spaniel was hilarious in the snow, he absolutely loved it. I took a video of him and will try to upload later.

Could quite possibly be getting more next week mate.

Things are looking very Wintery, not just outside my window now, but also in the model output.

Anyway, I'm enjoying what we have now, off out for a country walk now. Will look at next week in a bit more detail tomorrow.

Great news! I'm trying my best to get out of work so I can go sledging!

So here we all are, very happy with what we've got so far and likely to get through the day eh? So shall we look forward to what our French neighbours might just send us then on Sunday?????

Still snow / sleet showers pepping up on the NW coast of Devon here, definitely looks like they are heading east / up the bristol channel

Still snowing lightly in NW Bristol. Looking like we may be getting some showers from up the Channel too soon.
