What are the chances of the band of heavier ppn over n wales making it into the north west, just kind of sat there for the last hour?.

Not likely at all, everything moving west now and sinking south, south cheshire still might get some but north of that just light snow!!

The best chance of anything is looking to the SE tracking NW?

Possibility from monday onwards, new low likely to form over france and head up the east coast, atm mostly an eastern event, but lets see if it will move west and north, watching and waiting game!!

Sparkle. Are you West of Leyland or between Leyland and Preston. Just shows how localised this is - next to nothing in Preston yet you and WYSIWYG both have had snow for a reasonable time under 10 miles from me too.

Im west, south ribble

It was fizzling on the northern edge but as whole the front is now seemingly pushing northwards much better than it did earlier whilst also pepping up on the back edge. It's snowing lightly again now in Oldham.

Still snowing. Home now, a level 5 inches of snow.

Ian do you think our area will get more heavy or is it going to carry on as light snow

I can only see it becoming increasingly light and patchy.

Don't know what the ECM was thinking really. For that precipitation to make any decent progress north/north east, it'll have to intensify, and there's no way it can do so now.

The pricip hole over greater manchester, starting to fill in as that front makes a northward push.
