It's been snowing here near Liverpool Airport all day although the flakes are small now and not adding much to the lying snow. We've got a good covering and it's been lovely to watch! Had a photo to upload to back up Backtrack but can't remember how to attach it!

I have to say ,even for here 2cm of patchy snow cover is pretty bad.......usually get more than this but hey ,it's better than nowt.

Some stuff over Angelesy intensifying, we might get some of that. I wouldn't bet against another heavy blast within the hour

The whole front has pivoted since this morning, lying more W-E now compared to NW-SE. This has had the effect of weakening the band. That stuff in Wales won't touch us as the energy is pulling back in that direction. The flow wants to pull the system north but the energy wants to go west, hence the weakening on the northern flank over us.
