This event isn't fit to lace December 2010's boots.

Not in your neck of the woods, no. Double what we had in 2010 here.

Best snow event here for 10 years+..... easily

We have less than half of that. Rare that happens, usually the other way around. So close yet so far away...

Will 'Gong' have much effect on the UK in terms of warm-air seclusion being injected across the UK? looks quite a beast on the models.

@HotCuppa, looks like that's all folks! Unless it pulls back west, which I doubt.

you are still not panicking are you? ? the front will stay with us to the west...stop panicking...snow changed to powder now, but still very blizzard like..

At least people in some parts of the region now know what it feels like for us in the usually snowless SW of the region

Band seems to be losing intensity over our region now, but the showers over north-west Wales have beefed up in the last hour or so.

Another yawnfest of an event, I've had more cover of a frost. Roll on the Atlantic breakthrough.yahoo.giftongue.png

snow like this three times, in the past 30 odd years...and yet for you ..its almost every year other other year...blum.gif

south of the region is fine, still almost blizzard like here with powder snow...temp and dp both have dropped remarkably.

the cloud as broken just a little bit, hence why its gone a little moderate rather than heavy, once back under the cloud we will be fine, you will see, because this has to shift our way again :p

DIscounting any drifts (which are about 6" up the windows) about 3" here Nr Sandbach @ -0.9 C. Very fine and light now, blowing about alot. Looks like something pepping up again to the South West. So, may be not done yet!

wow just been out and about and amazingly there's about half an inch of snow/ice............left on the grass from last Sunday night's snizzle fest lol

Just about as non-event as it could be for my area today. Congrats to those in the South West of the region.

We will of course get our own back at some stage :)
