Well the radar says no but I am still getting steady snow grains which have now covered cars, roofs and pavements again.temp now -0.2c and DP -1.3c

Yes pretty persistent aren't they, must be too light to show on the Radar.

After missing THREE snow events, all of which looked bang on the day before, I think I'm entitled to be cautious.

Nothing that we have missed out on has been 'bang on' the day before, in fact I would say most of the forecasting within 48 hours has been bang on!

I'm not sure ANYONE was forecasting half a cm and some snizzle for Medway for yesterday, but if they were, feel free to correct me on that

0c dew -3c tiny balls of snow/snizzle dusting the ground

Its moving up quite fast and looks quite heavy hope its heavy when it gets here.... ;)

When that hits the channel it should intensify through convection.

Can't remember what year it was,but i remember there was a huge band of snow coming up from Northern France and even the night before it was odds on that SE was going to get hit but it veered off massively to the West and hit West Country leaving us with nothing.I never have trusted the French ever since!!Think it was 1987 but could be wrong, but around that era.

Right before people slash wrists. As it stands. Taking into account all model output at 12z.

ALL of the region to see snow tomorrow.

More in the east, less in the west.

Very little, if any marginality right down to the sand castles on the beaches.

Snow to arrive approx 09:00hrs from the SE.

Looks to be a good 8-10 hours of snowfall

Depths (rough) 2-5cm in the West and 6-8cm in the East.

Thanku v much for this, was getting a bit confused with all the post 12z aftermath! Still hoping for a mere nudge west to get me in the heavier stuff!x

There will be further corrections east or west over the next couple of model runs, I'm sure!

End of the day - no matter what the models say - it's just an approximation.

I thought I might beat that Snow going up to Leeds, but it is coming up quite fast. Not wishing to spend the day on the A1 I may have to wait. Snow seems to be forecast pretty much all week so I have no idea when I'll get there now!

Typical. lol

Gentle snizzle here... Helping to whiten the slush in the road...

I can also confirm (as I will putting the boys to bed at 6) that I have 7.5cm (3 inches) of snow in the back garden! :)

Lets just pray it can actually get over the brick wall that is the North Downs, that snow shield was very active yesterday.
