Just to confirm, the South London snow zone is still in force. Moderate snow out there, tidying up the footsteps and driveway clearances from earlier, but not really adding to the totals. Recheck of the Garden Table on return from pub still says 9cm. Looks lovely though, and as long as it is falling, I am happy.

Snow quality assessment - not great for building snowmen, believe me, we tried, hard, and the lightweight snowballs disperse on impact, however the advantage is that a quick brush down at the front door means we are almost as dry as when we left.

I have 20 screens that have to monitor for critical alarms for data centres all over the UK,hard work staying observant for a 12 hr shift by yourself...

Make that 22 as I have NW up on 2...one for the radar and one for the forum acute.gif

I work in a local bar at the moment but I'm training in security, hoping to get a job monitoring CCTV cameras once I get my SIA licence, purely out of laziness but perfect for snow watching in winter!

so what do you get up to once they're asleep?

I have 20 screens that have to monitor for critical alarms for data centres all over the UK,hard work staying observant for a 12 hr shift by yourself...

I used to work a 7pm til 7am shift for Lambeth answering repairs calls, and then do the repairs. Got made redundant in 2011.

I'm down presenting in Westminister (not the commons.. an oil and gas seminar) on weds/thurs. Here in Northants we have about 20cm snow.

Need a thaw otherwise I will have a pesky time very early weds.

What is the snow situation down there? I can never trust the comments because 1cm of snow = 1 metre.

Latest BBC weather showed the ppn in the Thames continuing past 3am, something they didn't have earlier... Is there still something to come from the Surrey swirl?
