Yeah looking good John!

The sky over towards Southend is the deepest orange I have seen for a long while so some serious snow over that way, I actually think the stuff over by Dover will get us later and not the Folkestone Precip, the winds should start becoming more easterly in the next 4-6 hours so should tilt some of this.

I also though this little area of LP Was supposed to move south and is a little shortwave embedded into the Upper Trough which is situated still over Ireland. Will this affect tomorrow's possible streamer action now ??

Light/mod snow here but small flakes. Wind from the East now mate!

It's been snowing in Dover since around 6pm. we have over an inch now. possible heading for two.

Here's the scene right now. doesn't look like the snow is going to stop for hours. It's sure come as a surprise.

Yamkin's gritters are out in force. Just seen 2 go past here.

Not only am I now addicted to the radars, I'm also addicted to flicking through the traffic cams to see where it's snowing heavily and matching it to the radar. Thank God I live alone or else I'd have been sent to the funny farm by now.

Full shift patterns in place. The MetO's direct feed radar alert system is also being used by the gritting team

Stuff in the Channel looks to be losing intensity. Happy for those with good totals, just a very very strange night Radar watching for this area.

Bed and Kindle for me before I inadvertantly swear and get banned :)

Your not the only one, used to use the traffic cams all the time, but it gets monotonous after a while and you actually end up missing the real flakes outside your window :D

lol. i agree it's losing intensity but that doesn't necessarily mean medway doesn't get more snow tonight.

Yeah looks like you guys were stuck in the eye the longest. Tough bloody luck that mate. If it makes you feel any better we only have a cm here if that.
