Latest BBC weather showed the ppn in the Thames continuing past 3am, something they didn't have earlier... Is there still something to come from the Surrey swirl?

Maybe, it has been over Tilbery for a while now.

Wow what a day. Never seen such persistent snowfall in one day. There's even still some flakes falling! Is there a round 2 on the cards for here any time soon?

And I'm done.

Very strange day.

Got to east grinstead at 8.40 and enjoyed snow till 11.30 when the office closed. Had a good 5cm by that point in some places.

Drive back to Gillingham to be shocked at the

Lack of any real snow. Waited all day. Watched the radar and I am convinced someone has put a HUGE brolly up over Medway.

Sunday is promising but so many let downs this winter mean I won't believe it till I'm out playing in it!

She's on the mend now I think but her sleep patterns are all screwed up, hence we are up and full of beans at 3am! Anyway, gives me a chance to check the radar!

Almost a straight easterly now coming up the Thames which has increased temps to just above freezing although DP's are ok.

Currently another shower passing but not amounting to much again.

850's better again for Sunday (GFS) and will hopefully be better next run again, my location has had more sleet predictions turned to snow. Now if we can just mix out the remaining marginal at 1500.........

What might help is the non-marginal before that, some evap cooling hopefully....Sunday should be fun

Anyone think that left over bit of ppn in the thames might turn into a streamer, or just be a one off shower.

Still got some showers passing through here in Sarfend. Wind favourable for a streamer type setup anytime from now. Fingers crossed the Estuary comes alive today!...

Nooooo the gfs ECM and ukmo bring the atlantic in at 144 hrs

Steve murr we need guidance

6 days away!...don't worry about it. It will change a million times.

But, It will roll in sooner or later. Hopefully just transitionary.

It keeps getting pushed back ever so slowly as well.

When it shows the Atlantic steaming in at 72hrs then we should take a bit of notice.
