Sorry guys, have been chasing back and forth, collating members depths.

What goes with the latest model runs, please!

Cheers,

Tom

Good luck to those tomorrow, from that system heading up from France. Might get some very patchy light snow here. Hoping for something notable on monday night into Tuesday .

hi tom

the fax chart for tomorrow night has got interesting

PPVG89.gif?31415

trough and a low right over the south east

been checking uppers etc and the very far south looks marginal

but everywhere else looks ok

need to see tomorrow mornings run as this low is throwing a bit of confusion

looks ok during day tomorrow for most of us to see snow

Oh well, looks like I'm going to just miss out on tomorrow's fun being slightly too far south west, although I may see a dusting but that's all I would have thought.

Do you know what Daves post has actually angered me quite a bit. Having had 10 mins thinking about this, i really hope you guys do not feel like you have been led up the garden path on these events, Fridays event was a pretty good forecast, we knew it would stall, we knew it would pivot, we knew it would shear away North and South, we are only amatuers at the end of the day and most people in this thread try their hardest to put something together for the majority to read. I also think most of the forecasts for tomorrow have been level headed re amounts expected.

If you see my post actually in reply to Tom who then went onto produce the backed up charts this morning you will see quite a few of us knew there was not a prayer of any type of streamer setting up, as another poster says though with so many forecasts and hopecasts sometimes it is really difficult to know what is happening in this thread when we go from page 6 to 12 in under 3 minutes, posts get lost etc.

Anyway really am going to bed now, hope people were not led up the garden path today and 2-5cm in the west tomorrow, 5-10 in the east, anything more will be a bonus and I hope to be proved wrong!

TEITS, not happy about a Thames streamer or forecasts of

To be frank,

I could not care if tiets was unhappy with us discussing a potential thames streamer that failed today.

I've seen him stating this and that in the mod thread but got it wrong before. However do i blame him for the weather that he forcast?

NO

We are all here as ' weather freaks ' & we all get it wrong there is no doubt about that.

I was going for a thames streamer to set up today & stated that last night but it did not happen. So what we are all in a casino & the house has the edge & that house is the weather itself.

If we was all bang on then why is the meto not paying each of us thousands & replacing there super computers with us.

I hope it wasn't my post mentioning a Thames Streamer that started all this off sorry.gif

I posted up a couple of NMM charts which showed streamerish type precip albeit very light coming in across Northern parts of Kent and mentioned a Thames Streamer, I also posted the FAX chart showing the upper level trough sitting over the South-East along with some NMM upper airflow charts highlighting that things would become increasingly favourable throughout the day.

It seems some, if it was my post, took things a little too seriously bad.gif

Apologies if that was the case!

I'm sure I speak for others when I say I do not feel anyone has ever led us up the garden path, really can't understand his comments tbh!

Good luck to all for tomorrow - off to bed in the hope that a huge amount of snow is waiting to fall or else I will have a very disappointed 5 year old who I have hinted as we may well be able to go sledging tomorrow!

I doubt it, as I have not seen anyone upset that there hasn't been a streamer, mind you I've not read every post. I think he was really on about the amount of snow yesterday and the disappointment by the kent area. Before the later stuff showed up.

May have missed something somewhere though.

Hi Looby,

While I've caught you, do you think you could give me an idea of your snow-depth, I know you're at work at the mo, so I can pop it into the competition list.

Btw, my wife's a carer at a Residential Care Home for the elderly at the other end of the county from you, I know its a really tough and tiring job, you guys dont get the recognition/pay you deserve. Shows you how we value the care of the elderly and mentally ill. Anyway, all the best.

Regards.

Tom
