Still snowing here! Started at around 8:30am!

Radar showing the snowing push north east..... Maybe 3 to 4 hours max of snowing fall left in the hert/essex area.

Yesterday - I predicted 8cm's, I think I've made that. Good day, pleased!

Then the deep freeze. We will see an average of -3 in the Essex/ Herts area.

Well after taking a couple of hrs break im delighted to see heavy snow return with an even heavier band approaching from the E. Im not expecting it to dry out here until the early hrs.

Would love to see some clear skies afterwards though with mins dropping a few degrees below freezing.

Heavy snow (small flakes) coming down still. Heavier stuff definitely appears to be moving in from the east :)

Edit: really getting heavier here & more snow to come potentially till the earlu hours is just what I wanted to hear TEITS!

Epic out there (in Beccles), belting down, blowing all over the place in the wind, must be at least 2-3 inches, going to be more than was suggested I think!

It does seem more precipitation keeps popping up from the channel.

Edit: First time the French have never given up

Hi All,

Is the snow band heading east? or west?

Its seems to be trying to pulling out of London and heading a bit east.

I live in Nottinghamshire , about 8 miles NW of city ( ng16 ) and wonder what current path this snow band is taking from where you are ??

It had stopped snowing here for an hour, but after a brief gap more energy seems to be working in from the SE & it's snowing again. search.gif

Hi All,

maybe the front is heading NW, and the ppn is rotating around the centre of the low, so will be different directions depending on location....again only a newbie so don't shoot if barking up the wrong tree :)

Dave, do you see that heading west at all? Or is it going to start drifting north? Keep looking at the radar thinking it is going to stop, but still coming down

There seems to be a line of death from just north of cambridge to south of Norwich and into the north sea where any heavy stuff turns to light when it passes over it. Anyone know why?

I was thinking that too!!
