Really coming down here, could end up with a good few inches if not more depending on how long the snow hangs around for which could be tonight if some models are to be believed.

Woke up to quite a nice covering must of hammered it down when I was asleep. How long is the ppn meant to feed off the east coast for yet?

Yeah, same here, although most of Friday snow appears to be gone. If it carries on like this though, at least there'll be a few centimetres by lunchtime I should think.

Decent cover here in Bacup.

Haven't been outside yet but it looks like 4 to 5 inches up to now and it's still snowing.

A bit of a breeze blowing the snow about but not as strong as was forecast although that may change.

I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with another couple of inches by the time it finally clears but either way it's the heaviest fall here since Dec. 2010.

The northwest seems to have as much snow as the northeast without the thawing problems, many members east of Pennines reporting sleet and rain some of them are gutted.

Poor Meto forecast all round. 3cms of dry snow her but some parts of cumbria reporting 10cms again a crap forecast by the Meto. I always thought a total Pennines block was unlikely, they rely on computers to much which tend to oversimplify things.

Still moderate snow temp 0.5c

Andy

It looks like most of the NW has done well after all, really good to see. Some particularly strong echoes over Blackpool right now, and for once there's no issue of marginality from a mild Irish Sea.

Let me have a look out, I haven't looked out for awhile.

Yes, still snowing quite heavily, about a centimetre of fresh snow in the last hour. I'm about 2 miles north north west of you Andrew so I should think anything you get I would get in a few minutes.
