if you have not seen the gfs 0z dont look!its abysmal from about friday

I had a quick look in the model thread and it was eerily quiet and subdued, was waiting for the tumble weed to roll past.

Seems to have knocked them pretty bad in there. It could all change by then but its a concern. i was hoping that with

the SSW to start taking effect by the 25th as chiono predicted, we may drop lucky and this spell would prolong into Feb.

The heavy snows made a comeback here, just hope it doesn't end up crying like Hatton.

The snow risk charts on here have snow over us until midnight, how accurate are they usually?

Still moderate snow here, looking at the radar we still have a good few hours left yet, with the front moving more W/N/W now.

This is looking really good, hit 21cm on the wheelie bin, Fridays snow was on it so i'd say about 15cm fallen so far and still coming down

like it was 4hours ago.

Annoying gap in the front. Heavy snow to the south of us and heavy snow to the north! Looks like more heavy stuff piling in from the east so should be ok for a bit more! A few inches here and counting...

we've been really lucky here the last few hours, we keep getting those thin bands of heavier ppn coming straight over the top of us.

Now that's more like it. A small accumulation of snow. Haven't measured the depth yet guesstimate 3cm to 4cm of new snow.

Same here, it's been rather annoying seeing the same snow plough go past my house three times in the space of 20 minutes dry.png

That's hilarious. I was always under the impression Sheffield did well for snow but you seemed to have dispelled such preconceptions lately.
