Light dusting here overnight which was a pleasant surprise.

Looks like my journey back from Basingstoke could be fun this evening though!

Went to bed at 1am, really heavy frost everywhere and it looked like an inch of frost on my car windscreen. I have woken up to nada, it is positively balmy and the majority of our snow has gone.

What is going on? I can see this being a rain only event for us now.

Well if you go by the models then anything could happen today, GFS still says maybe something later?

Surprise 2cm here overnight. Felt that lovely crunch underfoot as i walked to bus stop for work. Dunno what temp is but no melt from the fresh snowfall. Guess it'll start thawing soon though.

Looked at radar earlier and it seemed it had broken up a lot, maybe a lot more than had been forecast.

The weather continues to defy the humans at times - comforting!

paint some interest overnight tonight. Otherwise its a day of radar watching. I'm sure some will get a little surprise over the next 24 hours, which is what makes it all the more fun.

Another disappointment in the most disappointing "snowy" spell of the last 20 years. Rain overnight, little sign of anything else. Once the mild air breaks through at the end of the week I will be binning this week from my memory as fast as possible. Absolutely dreadful if snow is what you want.

What forecast was that?

That's probably the best case scenario, keep expectations a little lower than that forecast for now. Certainly possible though, we will see!

We get it already, it didn't snow for you. Doesn't mean it was the same for loads of others, I'm 15 miles from you and had 4 inches Friday much of which is still clinging on so change the record, it's getting really boring. It's the weather, no ones fault!

Well I woke up hoping to see some fresh snow outside but just wet, and now I have just found out some bar steward has hijacked my debit card to the tune of three hundred quid so now have to sort that out. NOT a good start to the day mad.gif
