WOW!!! What a night. Got woken by the wife who was wondering what was going on last night, Opened the curtains and good god blocks of ice were seemingly falling from the sky. Accompanied by the soundtrack for thunder and lightening. That was midnight and then woken again at 6. Woolwell again is a winter wonderland with up to an inch deep of hail / ice. Again got 2 miles down the road and its just rain. Its getting darker down here in work so hopefully lots more thunder.

To end off a surreal 12 hours put the telly on this morning and there is Princetown in all its snowtastic glory....no sign of the beast though blum.gif

Haha!! I was there.... waiting for my time to pounce!! Spoke to them after I moved the missus car out the back. Not on camera though, got shy!! I agree with you about last night, it was something else mate.

Just need right temps and dew points, which even for later look marginal.

Just noticed someone's posted Ian's latest tweet.

A wait and see time, for sure.

Well that rain/sleet I saw falling about half 2 this morning must have turned to snow at some point as there was a slight dusting of snow on the cars this morning.

Does anyone know if it's expected to warm up dramatically before the precipitation gets here later? Currently, it's all frozen solid around here and last night was the coldest it's been for some time.

Well it looks like BBC have down graded snow for Exeter yet again but I have a feeling we'll see something although I doubt it'll settle

From an IMBY point of view, the latest NAE looks good taken at face value.

Interesting 24 hours for sure.

Looking at the charts, the assessment of 3-6 cm seems very low
