From what has happened north and west of us, places had rain/sleet then very heavy snow..... We should not take what we first get..... Places like blackpool/liverpool has rain then snow then rain then very heavy snow..... Nowcasting at its best for us lot..... Good luck peoples..... ;):)

Lowland airports like manchester were closed earlier..... Its nowcasting and exciting.....

I have just taken the Crazy Snow Spaniel out for his late night ablutions and despite being geared up in my extra warm barbour parka jacket with hood it was absolutely ridiculously raw and exposed here, a bare 50m from the channel in Brighton. I have been walking/climbing in the high French Alps in September and on the Aonach Eagach ridge in Glencoe in February and yet walking along the seafront in Brighton tonight, for barely 5 minutes, in the face of an ESE gale that cut through me like a salami slicer, it felt colder than anything I have experienced before. Maybe I am getting properly old. Car rug and a flask, anyone?

Radar shows it to be all rain for us currently.

Dew points and temperatures both above freezing here, might see some evaporative cooling snowfall for a short while, but otherwise like I said yesterday before I got shot down, it's not going to be worth staying up for
