Just had a brief moderate shower.

BBC News weather forecast says Sheffield is under an amber warning and the snow isn't due until closer to the rush hour. They said up to 15cm in a very short time will fall!

Only a few cm here Lodgemoor Sheffield..they say rush hour will get bad, but looking at the radar i can't see how.

Currently, as far as I can tell, the main roads should be fine. But they've forecast snow up to 3pm around here, so that may all change

Cheers guys, she's travelling up by train so should hopefully avoid the usual rush hour chaos on the road when it snows. Sounds like not to bad at the moment, but chance could be a pain later

I use met office app. Looking at rainfall projection radar 3.00pm looks like it could be eventfull (depending on what it falls as) if it happens as they suggest

Yeah i thought the same thing, could be very interesting for the hillier places in Yorkshire.

Heavy snow continuing here, radar looking pretty good for next hour- maybe 2, streamer type setup here.

Just a dusting here in Grimsby as it would seem most of the showers over night were further south.

Slight covering here 1/4 - 1/2". Occaisional snow flurries but whats on the roads is melting between the showers. Quite a surprise as I didn't expect it when I got up this morning.

From blue sky to heavy snow in a couple of minutes, 4-5cm here so far, its hammering it down.

Just had a few cm in less than an hour..now my days plans are snow day with the kids.. Busses not running nursery closed and the eldest faking illness

Loads of heavy snow here in mosborough. Stopped for 5 mins and now started up again! Loving it :-)
