Chances are good mate. Like I said the showers will be hit and miss, but if you catch one they can easily drop a couple of inches in an hour.

some ridiculously intense wind and rain just rattled through here. Heaviest and windiest day of showers (of any type) I can recall in a long time.

Temp 1.8c, DP -1.3c. Showers still a mix of hail/sleet/snow. Lightning was the added bonus in the last heavy shower. How soon before the flow turns more NWerly ? Going by latest output not until later tomorrow ? If so we might be lucky here as a straight westerly can be quite good, (although snowy ones have been a rarity for a good long while here).

Not sure what to expect here tonight. Mr Hudson mentioned concentration of showers across Peak district central Lincolnshire, but he did say this could be further north/south. Just out of interest what are the prospects for this area for Wednesday/Thursday? Thanks GSL

Currently at my Mum n Dad's in York, mostly rain but turning sleety in the heavier showers. Just been to fill the car up and thought i would be safe from the rain at the garage but the rain was blowing horizontally straight underneath the canopy. Very wild out there, love it!
